This graph correlates surface speed (SFM: surface feet per minute), RPM and cutter diameter. I use it for milling, but the calculation is the same when the workpiece spins, such as on a lathe. The graph is released under the terms of the GNU General Public License version 2. Attached are the gnuplot source, and ready-to-print postscript and pdf versions.
